
Circuit Training Classes

What a class looks like.
This circuit class is divided into four stations. You will have the opportunity to exercise in each station before a round is over. Once you have performed all four exercises in a round you will have a break (roughly two minutes). During this break you are recovering, but you are also receiving instructions for the next round of four exercises. Each station is explained and demonstrated by your coach before a round starts. Remember you can always ask your coach if you didn't understand a movement or need an alternative exercise. When the break is over the coach will let you know, it is time to get ready. When you are ready the timer will begin, and another round of four exercises will begin. Remember that your coach is there to observe, guide and give you helpful advice.
Why beginners are encouraged to join!
Every exercise we choose has modifications. This means that no matter what exercise we are doing in a class, not every person will be doing the exact version of that exercise. Some people, if they show they are ready for a more complicated version, will be given the option to try something new. At the same time, if you show that you are not ready for an exercise or share a limitation or discomfort in a movement, you will be given an alternative movement that best suites you. You will always get better results doing what is right in that moment. Your body will be able to adapt to a challenge that is adjusted to your abilities. Making these adjustments actually give you better results than just pushing through, even when your body is telling you something isn't working. Our job is to provide you the best, most accurate workout. Not to push you through discomfort.
